The Voice of Blyndsided

The Voice of Blyndsided

There are a lot of voices in the cancer world.

Some are inspirational.

Some are educational.

Some focus on treatment plans, survival rates, and medical terminology.

Some tell stories of triumph. Others tell stories of loss.

Blyndsided isn't trying to be any of those things.

Blyndsided exists for the moments in between.

The moments nobody warned you about.

The grocery list that still needs to be written.

The dishes that still need to be done.

The insurance hold music that somehow feels louder after a diagnosis.

The text message asking if you're still coming to dinner.

The pile of laundry that doesn't care what's happening in your life.

Cancer changes everything.

And somehow, it changes almost nothing at the exact same time.

That's the part we don't hear enough about.

Not because it isn't important.

Because it's ordinary.

The voice of Blyndsided is the voice of ordinary life colliding with extraordinary circumstances.

It's not inspirational.

It's not tragic.

It's not clinical.

It's honest.

Sometimes frustrated.

Sometimes funny.

Sometimes exhausted.

Sometimes absurd.

Because there is something strangely absurd about discussing scan results in the morning and buying toilet paper in the afternoon.

We believe people deserve space to talk about that part too.

The part where life keeps moving.

The part where the world doesn't stop.

The part where you discover that even when everything feels different, the milk still runs out.

That's the voice of Blyndsided.

And if you've ever found yourself standing in a grocery store thinking, "How is this still my responsibility?" then you're probably in the right place.
